our Story
Ball 4 a Cure was founded in 2015 by seven childhood friends from West Hartford, Connecticut, with a goal of supporting pediatric cancer patients and their families. What started as a 3v3 basketball tournament on blacktop courts in West Hartford soon evolved to a multi-faceted nonprofit organization hosting several annual events across many different communities. In 2019, Ball 4 a Cure received official non-profit status and established the Ball 4 a Cure Family Support Fund at Connecticut Children's Hospital which assures that families in financial need receive the resources they need so each child in treatment has a safe, warm, and secure home to return to when they leave the Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders.
