THE BALL 4 A CURE Family support fund

The Ball 4 a Cure Family Support Fund at Connecticut Children's is used to improve the quality of life for patients and families at Connecticut Children's Hospital. Ball 4 a Cure works with social workers employed by Connecticut Children's Hospital to identify different families in need and deliver the resources they need.

The goal of the Family Support Fund is to assist families with the unexpected and difficult stressors of life so they can focus on their child's treatment and battle against cancer. The Fund largely supports financially vulnerable families with their rent payments, mortgage, in-home medical equipment, and utility bills. In doing so, Ball 4 a Cure makes it easier for kids to be kids.

Adolescent & Young Adult Program

Connecticut Children's Hospital is home to dozens of young adults receiving cancer treatment. To help young adults feel welcome and supported, Ball 4 a Cure provides a robust welcome package to every young adult. The package is filled with reminders that the community stands in solidarity with them and their fight against cancer.

YOUTH BASKETBALL

Ball 4 a Cure proudly supports a team in the West Hartford Youth Basketball League, demonstrating our commitment to youth development and community engagement. In our first year, the team took home the title with a record of 10 and 4. This success would not have been possible without the exceptional leadership and coaching of Devon Pencz and Chad Turner.
